>June 5

Okay, my blog is back up (by request). While I was at it, I also fixed the interactive story, the guestbook (it's empty again :( ), and the games. That's all for today. Except the AIM bot, which I've been adding to constantly for the last several days.

>June 3

I just recently made an AIM bot. I am posting any interesting chat sessions on this page! One cool side effect is that in the process, not only am I getting more content, but the "victim" visits my web site in the end! Cool! Also, in case you didn't read yesterday's news, there's a new jokes section on my site!

>June 2

In my Computer Applications 1 class, we were doing something where I ended up having to make up 15 names of random people. That's where I got the idea for my new joke section, Strange Names.

>May 19

Why am I posting these news posts? Since the move, and the URL change, I'm not going to get any visitors until I promote the new URL. You may ask why I'm telling you this. I will ask you if it bothers you. You might say you were just wondering. I will ask you why you're asking. You could say it's just hypothetical. I would tell you that I hate hypothetical situations. Oh, by the way, this would normally belong in my blog, but I haven't got around to making it work yet.

>May 18

Okay, I still can't get the CGIs to work, so I'll just move on for now. The games are working again, though, so go play them!

>May 13

Wow. I can't believe I'm finally back. And, like I promised, at JaysSite.com. I've added ".com" to the logo at the top, and some new jokes that I've had for ages just waiting to be published. Currently, the CGIs don't work. I'll get that fixed hopefully soon...

>March 14

Right now I am on my emergency server. Not everything works on it. These things won't work: My guestbook, my blog, the ffal links page, and the interactive story. Sorry for the inconvenience, but excelex.net says their ISP suddenly went bankrupt.

>February 22

Finally, I've created a blog. It took me forever because I made a CGI that creates flatfile databases (if you know what means). To read my blog, click here. (A blog is a page where someone posts their personal thoughts and other things). I've also created a support page so that you can help out Jay's Site without spending a penny. Also on the right you see the new quick links menu. Lastly, since I'm getting about 100 hits per day, I now feel confident enough to put up a hit counter.

>February 17

Yeah I know I just updated two days ago, but what are you going to do about it? :) I realized that on the Yo mama's like page there were so many teeth jokes that they deserved their own page. So I gave them one.

>February 15

This week not much done. Minor updates here and there. I also put a favorites link and a home page link so you don't forget about this site. I am collecting a lot of jokes and I am going to put them on the site next week (Feb. 21). As always, I enjoy reading your feedback about my site, so e-mail me or sign me guestbook!

>February 6

Hopefully you didn't notice, but we got a new server! The old server was simply down too often, and when it got hacked a couple days ago, I knew it was time to go. Anyway, I've added microsoft jokes, since I hate microsoft. And no, microsoft doesn't even deserve a capital letter.

>February 1

Yeah, I know it's been a couple weeks since the last update. Today I'm adding Bar Jokes to the jokes page, and adding a ton of other jokes that I've surfed the net and found. Also, who could forget the new interactive story?  And I've saved the best for last. A free-for-all links page. If you have a website, be sure to add your page! Tell me what else you want on the site! My e-mail is

jay@jayssite.com
,, or you can sign my guestbook.

>January 11

Updated the Eminem Opinions page, added Deep Thoughts to the jokes section, and started a lyrics database.

>January 4

I added a short preview of the upcoming addition to the Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. By the way, here's something interesting that I just noticed. On this page there are... 1, 2, 3, 4, five different links to the games page and to the jokes page. Strange.

>January 2, 2003!

Happy new year's everyone! Here's what's going on at Jay's Site:

  • I've added another category in JSU Jokes (more about JSU)
  • Games are finally working!
  • The Google Search button at the top of the page works now.
  • I have added new jokes!
  • About ten thousand little updates here and there.
  • After nearly a month, I've finally updated the site! I was having a lot of trouble because of the big mistakes that I made. Don't worry though, from now on it'll be weekly as I'd promised.

>December 7

Not much done lately, I know. I did add some new jokes for JSU members.

If you want to help me maintain Jay's Site, please contact me. Right now it is just me doing the site, and also I have limited access to the internet. (that problem should be resolved in January)

>November 10

I did a couple of little things on the site, but the big thing this week is the new server. Do you notice that the ads and pop-ups are gone? Thanks to flatface.net!

>November 2

A lot of progress made. Jay's Site is still under construction. Games doesn't work yet. Oh, by the way, check out the Eminem page. Even (especially) if you don't like Eminem.

>October 31 halloween

Well, since I ain't celebrating Halloween, I'm working on my site again. I know it's been a long time since last update but I'm trying to totally recreate the old site. That means all the jokes pages, games, stuff pages, and whatever else was on the thing. So it's taking a while. I'm almost done. :)

>October 10

First upload of the new site. Right now there isn't much stuff on it, except an "under construction" message.

News from the old site:

Sun. Jul. 28. 2002. 4.29.p. 1. I've added the search box (on the top). Currently it searches the entire web, but eventually I want to make it search only Jay's Site. 2. I finally thought up what Jay's Site is. It is a hang-out for when you're just surfin' the web wondering where to go. As Jay's Site's new motto says, "We just hangin' out!"

Sat. Jul. 27. 2002. 10.48.p. I simplified the programming to avoid problems when browsing the site. In the process, however, I had to remove all customization options. Oh, well. Also, there is now an XBox link and PS2 link on the gaming page.

Sun. Jul. 14. 2002. 12.07.p. I'm starting to expand the gaming section. It is no longer called the games section. The browser games are still there, however there is now a GameCube page. I will soon add GameBoy Advance, XBox and PS2. However Playstation, N64, Dreamcast, PC, GameBoy/GB Color, and all the other game platforms will not be added. At least not for a long time.

Wed. Jul. 10. 2002. 5.16.p. You might call this "the new Jay's Site". Although you see I've listed some updates below, the site was actually down. The last time the site was available it had an almost completely different look, and had nothing at all to do with the color red. Even the background pic has changed! Also, I've fixed a potential glitch in certain browsers/systems but I won't go into details in that...

Thur. May 30. 2002. 12.13.a. There was a major glitch where the tabs at the top disappeared for some reason. Once I got around to fixing it, I realized I needed to totally re-do the site. It wasn't that hard, I mostly just copied the files.

But anyway, you probably don't care about all that stuff so I'll get to the other thing: Someone (not mentioning any names...) said the brownish color of my site looked like "puke"... so I changed it to red. I think it looks better...

Wed. May 8. 2002. unknown.time.pm. I added safe mode for anyone who still has trouble browsing the site.

Tue. May 7. 2002. 10.26.p. I have fixed some major problems, such as freezing on certain systems.

Mon. Apr. 22. 2002. 11.26.p. I added the new funny pictures category under Jokes! Also added the background effects that you might be able to see right now. If they're annoying, you can disable them on the Customize Jay's Site page.

Tue. Apr. 16. 2002. 5.25.p. Here's the update:

o Added games Othello (Reversi), Backgammon, and Tetris.
o Made a new right-click menu! (to check it out, right click somewhere on the page!)
o Added "Stuff" page
o Added these customization options:
- Name
- JS Homepage
- Background Color
- Show fake ads
- Show random quotes
- Password protection
o Added some quotes on the random quotes list.

Did you know that Jay's Newsletter subscribers were informed of this update about a week ago? Just something to think about... (click here to subscribe)

Wed. Apr. 10. 2002. 6.17.p. Here's an update for gamers: I've removed two faulty games. Also, I am starting to add more games to the list. Check back often to see the new stuff (or subscribe to Jay's Newsletter for free and you'll know before anyone else).

Tue. Apr. 9. 2002. 10.04.p. Sorry about all the ads on my site now ('cept the fake ones). I'm trying to promote my site by joining banner exchanges. Please click on any ads that even remotely interest you!! If they're too annoying, please tell me! I'll remove them if you ask. (You can contact me through Jay's Newsletter)

Mon. Mar. 26. 2002. 10.20.p. Check it out... Jay's Newsletter: A weekly email with new jokes that haven't been added to the site yet. It's free, what do you have to lose??

Tue. Mar. 12. 2002. 3.58.p. Updated site, created site maps, added jokes. By the way: I'm always updating the site, but I don't always post the update here.

Mon. Mar. 11. 2002. 8.58.p. You may notice that you can't select anything. This is just to protect my content. If it gets to be a problem, tell me and I might change it.

Sat. Mar. 9. 2002. 10.13.p. I made my cube logo. What do you think?

Want to see even older news? ...no? Oh, OK.

I don't know what to put here now.
